Welcome to Looped by Hand! These terms apply when you use loopedbyhand.com (the “site”). By using the site, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

1. Using the site

The site and its patterns are free for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to misuse the site. For example, you may not try to break into it, overload it, scrape it in bulk, send spam through its forms or use it for anything unlawful.

2. Our patterns and content

All patterns, text, photos, illustrations and the site design belong to Looped by Hand and are protected by copyright, unless stated otherwise.

You may:

  • make any item from our patterns for yourself, as a gift or for charity;
  • sell finished items you’ve made by hand from our patterns in small quantities (a credit such as “Pattern by Looped by Hand” with a link is always appreciated);
  • print a pattern or save it for your own personal use;
  • share a link to a pattern page, or one photo with a link back to the original page.

You may not:

  • copy, republish, translate or share the written pattern, in whole or in part, on another site, app or group;
  • sell or give away the pattern itself, or include it in a book, course, kit or paid product;
  • use our photos to sell your own items, or claim our patterns or photos as your own;
  • mass-produce items from our patterns in a factory setting.

For any other use, please ask us first. We’re usually happy to help.

3. Newsletter and messages

When you subscribe or contact us, you confirm that the details you give are your own and accurate. You can unsubscribe at any time. How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

4. Accuracy of patterns

We test every pattern with care, but mistakes can happen. Results also depend on your yarn, hook, tension and experience. Patterns are provided “as is”, and we can’t guarantee that your finished item will match ours exactly. If you spot an error, please let us know so we can fix it.

5. Safety

Take extra care with items for babies, young children and pets. Secure all parts firmly, avoid small pieces such as buttons or safety eyes that could come loose, and never leave a baby unsupervised with crocheted items. You are responsible for checking that what you make is safe for its intended use.

6. Links to other websites

The site may link to yarn shops, tools or other websites. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, products or policies.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Looped by Hand is not liable for any indirect or incidental damages, or for the loss of materials, time or money, that result from using the site or its patterns. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer laws that cannot be excluded.

8. Changes to the site and these terms

We may change, pause or remove any part of the site at any time. We may also update these terms, and when we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date above. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new terms.
